Leadership Team

Michael Schmahl, Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Michael leads the Klinche team in executing its vision to help banks and construction teams significantly reduce the financial, operational, and regulatory risks associated with their real estate development projects.
Michael has worked with both large enterprise companies including PeopleSoft (acquired by Oracle) and Data General (acquired by EMC), as well as software start-ups Niku (IPO, later acquired by CSC) and Novient (acquired by Solution 6).  He has created and scaled high-performance sales teams in both B2B and channel sales models.  Michael’s comprehensivemanagement experience also includes leading strategic partner alliance and industry marketing programs.
Michael brings a wealth of Sales and Marketing leadership from his enterprise software career – helping startup companies scale revenues from $0 to $80 million, as well as large companies scale from $400 million to $2 billion. From a personal perspective, Michael has negotiated and managed several multi-million dollar construction loans providing important borrower’s perspective in working with the banking industry.
Michael received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA.  And he has also earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, CA.

Joel Weingarten, VP of Product

Joel is Klinche’s VP of Product. Joel leads our software strategy and product roadmap to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and efficient product development.
Joel’s successful career across three industries – architecture/construction, enterprise software, and construction finance – provide subject matter expertise critical to his role leading Product Management for Klinche.  Beyond understanding the construction supply chain transactional requirements, Joel has been deeply involved in predictive analytics and data science helping customers achieve deeper insight into the profitability and risks of their projects and overall business.
Joel has worked with both large software companies including, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and Business Objects, as well as enjoyed two successful start-ups, BuildingIQ (IPO) and DemandTec (acquired by IBM).  Joel has consulted for US Bank, Blackstone Group, Bank of American, and others providing finance oversight to over 50+ construction projects and over $2 billion in loan disbursements.
 Joel received a Bachelor of Science in Building Architecture and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA.
Klinche Jay Goswami

Jay Goswami, Director of Engineering

Jay is Klinche’s Engineering and DevOps executive responsible for developing and deploying our cloud-based solution to the banking and construction industries.  
He has extensive experience with both transactional systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive analytics.Jay has broad management talents in building agile development, data science, and DevOpsteams – from small 6-person teams all the way up to large 96-person, globally distributed teams, managing both in-house and out-sourced resources.
 Jay has worked in large corporations including Samsung and Walmart as well as start-up organizations ChannelIQ (acquired by MarketTrack), and MeltWater.  He has experience scaling high-volume data platforms through Amazon Web Services – including a 1,000+ physical servers, and 200+ node Hadoop cluster.  Jay also brings financial system compliance experience having achieved both SOC2 and PCI3.2 certifications.
Jay received his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Silchar, India.  He also received a Post-Graduate Diploma in Software Application Engineering from Boston Management Institute, in Mumbai, India.

Stacy Lehrer, Marketing Manager

Stacy is Klinche’s Marketing Manager responsible for strategizing and implementing cross-functional external campaigns including online, social media and print. 
Stacy has created and implemented marketing strategies for both corporate and start-up organizations. Her experience includes creative implementations for the Dept. of Homeland Security, Monsanto and the St. Louis Cardinal. Stacy’s work has been published in industry magazines and featured as trophy design pieces on how to turn drab data into “Glam Data”. 
Stacy enjoys the challenge of wearing a lot of hats and is considered a multi-functional creative guru. With over a decade of marketing and creative experience, she brings marketing strategies, visual design and project management to Klinche’s team. Stacy delivers unique and strategic solutions for creative projects for all mediums. Her specific skills include expert level marketing and creative strategy, project management while using Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, MS Office and standard UX software tools.
Stacy received her Bachelors Degree in advertising, with a fine art minor, from Marquette University in Milwaukee WI.  She also received a UX Principles Certification from General Assembly in San Francisco. Stacy enjoys keeping current and has taken numerous online courses that include HTML, CSS and Social Media Principles.

Sherrat Reicher
Chairman and Co-Founder

Sherratt manages an investment portfolio spanning sports franchises, food products, vineyards, and real estate. He is also a CA-licensed private money lender for real estate and construction.

George Morf
Vice Chairman and Co-Founder

With 25+ years in the building industry, George started as a building contractor and transitioned into developing residential properties, entitling nearly 500 lots and building over 180 homes.
